Painting Nature in Watercolor Do you enjoy painting and sketching from nature? Do you struggle with overworking a painting? Do you tend to give up on paintings because you are stuck? This class may be very helpful for you.
We will spend time on planning a painting, deciding on a color palette, and developing our own unique style of painting. We will study the landscape, including atmospheric perspective, color, and light vs. shadow. We will practive painting believable trees, plants, and rocks; painting fur and feathers on wild creatures; andpainting other natural things that interest you. You will be encouraged to follow your own stle and interests; Peg will help you to achieve the next level in your painting skills. If you are a plein air painter or sketcher, this class will be a great warm-up for outdoor painting. If you are a studio painter, this class will help you to paint what you love. If you are a botanical or detail painter, you will learn tools to paint the textures and colors you see. This class will include: demonstrations, color worksheets, and individual help in planning colors for your own paintings. You will use what you learn in class to complete paintings at home. A supply list will be provided.

Rainy Day Scenes in Watercolor Watercolor is the perfect medium to use to paint rain. I will show you how to combine water and paint and make it run down the paper, wonderfully mimicking sheets of rain. I will demonstrate how to make a road look wet, and paint in reflections on the wet service. You will learn how to paint a rainy city or landscape in the background, also. Finally, we will work on painting figures and umbrellas in the rain. The workshop includes demonstrations, color worksheets, and individual help. Learn and have fun at the same time! Most participants will complete two small paintings. Bring a friend or family member for a fun day out. A supply list will be provided.
