Title: The Wonder of Whites in Watercolor Date:Saturday, November 16 Time: 10 am to 3 pm Skill Level: Beginner to advanced Description: Enjoy a relaxing day learning about watercolor painting. You don’t have to bring anything, and you do not need experience in watercolor painting. The instructor will provide quality paints, watercolor paper, brushes, a full color lesson, a mat, coffee and tea, and everything else you need to complete two watercolor paintings! Using whites effectively in watercolor is a mystery to a lot of painters. This can be especially true for former oil, acrylic, and pastel painters. If you are going to use the white of the paper, you need to know what spaces to save, and how to save them. You should also have a plan for connecting them throughout the painting. If you are going to add whites later, you should know how to use various opaque media. If you want to lift out color to get whites, you need to know about staining colors and lifting techniques. With 39 years of experience, Peg can show you all of these things. By the end of the workshop, your paintings will have improved and your skills will have jumped to new levels!
